The idea of creating pizza with different sizes and tastings according to the number of people at the table was invented by Luigi Dell'Amura, 1930s in Vico Equense Sorrento. 

Nowadays, sharing a meter pizza has become a popular tradition in Italy, often a weekend social hub that connects family and friends at the table. Although mixing of refined flour gives this type of pizza a firmer consistency than Napoletana style, the practice of long fermentation and hydration keeps this pizza easily digestible and light.

At the heart of real Pizza Napoletana is the naturally leavened dough, left to ferment overnight and made daily by our trained Pizzaioli with the highest quality of double zero imported Italian flour.

Hand-stretched Pizza Napoletana is cooked briefly in a scorching hot wood-burning oven, resulting in a crispy risen crust with a soft, pillowy, blistered bottom that yields when folded.

Using San Marzano (DOP) tomatoes from southern Italy and the highest quality of mozzarella, pizza is meant to be simple, light, and healthy. We are here to give San Luis Obispo the original pizza that has been made the same way for over a century. Not to be overlooked, we fire all our pizzas in a hand-crafted Stefano Ferrara oven—now that's amore!
